Like all 100% natural and naturally produced materials, Sericyne Silk® has variations in purity and thickness that we have grouped into three categories.
As the qualities are dedicated to different uses, we advise our customers to adapt the types of Sericyne Silk® to the constraints of each project.
Weights
of Sericyne Silk®
Sericyne Silk® is a 100% natural silk material with hundreds of kilometres of silk thread intertwined in the form of 50 x 100 cm silk sheets, available in different weights.
The different thicknesses allow us to obtain a material with controlled opacity and to respond to the wide range of uses for which it is intended.

AN INFINITE HORIZON OF
COLOURS & TEXTURES
Sericyne Silk®is infinitely dyeable. We can develop custom colours to match your brand image and projects. We use dyes and control quality and resistance in the laboratory. Below is a small selection of dye examples for inspiration :
INCLUSION

Precious elements can be included in Sericyne Silk® on request.
This technique makes it possible to decorate and embellish Sericyne Silk® with all types of elements:
petals, gold leaf, feathers, crystals, etc.
EMBOSSING
on Sericyne Silk®
A wide library of embossings is available, including geometric, bio-inspired and imitation leather designs.
The embossings are made from cylinders or plates and can be applied to complete silk formats.
We regularly develop bespoke tools on request.
Printing
on Sericyne Silk®
Several printing methods can be used with Sericyne Silk® :digital printing, hot stamping and screen printing.

All our finishes are made to measure, according to the specifications defined by each customer.
To obtain your made-to-measure finishes, all you have to do is share your aesthetic and technical brief with Sericyne, and our teams will develop the materials to match your projects.
How it works
Over the last 10 years, Sericyne has developed a network of finishers to whom we have passed on our exclusive know-how for transforming our Sericyne Silk®.
It is with them that we produce large series. Smaller series can be made by our craftsmen in our factory.
Sericyne primarily markets finished or semi-finished products using Sericyne Silk®.
Provenance & Traceability
The entire production of Sericyne Silk® is 100% traceable: from the cultivation of the mulberry tree, to the rearing of the silkworms, right through to the production of Sericyne® Silk sheets.
Sericyne guarantees its customers total transparency on the origin of its material. Sericyne Silk® is mainly produced in France by exclusive and approved partners.
Finishing and transformation of Sericyne Silk® are mainly carried out in France, and for the sake of transparency, we indicate to our customers the manufacturing sites.
Material resistance
Sericyne tests its materials in the laboratory to meet each customer’s specifications.
We can test resistance to wet and dry rubbing, to sweat, to UVs, carry out transport tests, etc.
